LNB Power missing
I've recently got a DM500 with a supossed tuner problem. I replaced the tuner with one from another box, but there was still no signal or LNB power.
Now the LNB power has nothing to do with the tuner itself and I've traced the problem to a little component identified Q72 on the board (bellow the tuner and to the left of a little inductance) and marked "352Ad" on it's body. Anybody knows what that is or what it could be replaced with? I did fix mine by taking the component from the other box, but I'd like to get one nonetheless.
I'm sure that this might help people who fried their boxes with bad wiring or plugging/unplugging with the power on.

Re: LNB Power missing
it looks like I'm not alone with this problem, or somewhat alike, Q71 for a guy, the small inductance in that circuit for another, etc and yet nobody here would answer with an opinion, or some help.
We need a schematic of the DM500. We need some way to Jtag the DM500. Why the reluctance in touching this subject? There are a lot of boxes out there and I'm sure that some other people have similar problems, or more important, with knowledge. I did email Dream Multimedia with no answer, good support there.
Help us please

Re: LNB Power missing
Also if I may add, there are hundreds of views on a B/W issue, hundreds on a question about a genuine DM7000, duh, but who cares about a real problem? NOBODY!I used to be in the electronics field many years ago, I got a probable replacement at Digikey, but I just don't get why there are no answers to a meaningful issue!? Other than, my audio is only playing on the left, the .. is not doing this. Common! Please, somebody get some schematic and a clue.

Re: LNB Power missing
With 90 % probability Q72 is p-ch mosfet 0.5A 20V ,the reason that is going burned is the typical/max? Drain current of 0,5A this is not enough to supply LNB,ie desing error from Dream Multimedia the 20V Voltage is the joke too .try to replace it with something similar not neccessery smd version if you can get with 1A ID and UDS 30V

Re: LNB Power missing
at Digikey.com I have found this replacement, NDS352APCT-ND, 900mA, 30V and the same package Super-SOT3, dirt cheap, some 50 cents apiece. Cool!
Hopefully, it'll work.

Hey Orla,
I appear to be having the same problem, did you get your 7025 fixed?
