Earthing LNB feed

Can someone please give me some advise on this subject?

I am all set co cable up my satellite dish to the decode box (dreambox) but just wanted to check on earthing?

Is it required/recomended? if so how do you do it?
any recomendations or advise very much appreciated.

It doesn't seem to be done nowdays but earthing your dish can help in case of a lightning strike. Note though, that a direct hit to your LNB will more than likely fry your box(es) - not much you can do in that case except have insurance.
Earthing your box will generally do nothing and in fact can create annoying earth loops in your AV connections (produces hum in the audio and in some cases interferance lines on the video).
