Sorry to sound like a dummy guys, but doesnt the mk11 support phoenix anyway????

Is the mod for phoenix mode or is it done to support more software.

Yes it does support phoenix, the mod allows the use of certian software...............

as vk1sm say "The mod only inverts the card insert notification"

this unit works excellently when modded,
especially useful for server in card sharing environment.

and readily available at reasonable price.

hey all
Hope this helps someone im using a jacar mk2 and if you stick a duckhand by visoduck you can use mk2 with sharing 4.1
switch the duckhand to off and int without the mod
i havent tried with a modified mk2

Here's where the modification fits on the Jaycar MKII schematic.
Note that the PCB link tying pin 13 to +5v (pin 14) is cut.
