How does this sharing/dreambox stuff work?

Hi there.

im a totally new person to all this. heard about it from a friend few days ago.

I know that a dreambox is a receiver, after searching for it.

now i see, there is some concept called "sharing", where you can get all the channels for free...by connecting to the internet, *if im not mistaken*

is there a tutorial guide where it explains it all and how to set it up and whats required?

will greatly appreciate it.

Haha, get all channels for free? I dont think so...

It's funny, I was talking to a mate the other day and he said he was getting all the channels for nothing as well.

When I quizzed him a little he said that he was actually paying about $20 per month to the guy running the cardsharing arrangement, after paying for the Dreambox (not cheap).

He gets pixelation problems quite regularly (momentary screen freeze).

Yes it is done using the internet and that is half the problem. Any authentication of the card is sent and received over the Net. The guy at the other end has a valid card connected to his system, and charges his Clients to share this card info.
