How to have my drambox fixed

Greetings all !

Got a strange problem with my 7000. Can't seem to scan satellites... According to the "expert" who change the tuner, it is now OK. He even did a Jtag but nothing... He told me that it was a bios ot memory problem. If someone has the answer... Anyway where can I have it fixed, knowing that it is out of warranty ? Did anybody ever send back his demo to DMM ? How much did it cost ? How long did it take ? Are here better and cheaper solutions ? In Belgium ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: How to have my drambox fixed

Very weak (40-45) signal. My configuration is very basic PLI Diamond in flash. Two heads (simple disecq a/b) turned to Astra and Hotbird. That's abou it.
thanks for your time.

Re: How to have my drambox fixed

40-50% is NO signal on a dreambox
its easy to receive 75+% on astra
even up to 82%

so you need to align the dish better or check the diseqc settings

astra is b
hotbird is a

i believe....

Yes I know... Trouble is that it perfectly worked in this configuration before the crash... I haven't change anything at all.

R U sure that your dish has not moved because of wind etc? Is the diSEq switch OK? If possible, just try to connect another reciever and see if u get any signal.

Re: How to have my drambox fixed

As Afzalsher says, if you can try it with another receiver.

Have you tried screwing the lnb lead F connector on. I had one come loose a while back and gave the same problem.

Also if the image has not been installed correctly, it will not get a signal.

I would suggest doing a Dreamup install of a new image on flash, doing a flash erase and try scanning again.

Re: How to have my drambox fixed

Try to bypass the diseqc and connect the DB directly to an LNB, just to see if it makes any difference.
