Showtime card not working anymore

My DB 7000s (amber screen running Hydra Achilles image) doesn't seem to work anymore with my Showtime card. It is a brand new card and worked perfectly for exactly one week. As of yesterday morning, however, I only see a black screen. I have tried re-authorizing the card (through showtime website as well as through their customer service phone service) but it still didn't work.

I even tried upgrading to radegast b13 (from b12), erasing flash, and installing the 108_2 beta image... all gave same results - black screen.

Note that if I take the card out and drop it into my old showtime box I am able to see some channels (although many of them say "E16 Service is currently scrambled"). It seems that the dreambox is not allowing the auto update.

I have already checked my configurations and the radegast.config blocking is set to off for both card readers.

Any clues?

Try changing the softcam to SCAM

Try using newcamd and be sure that in /var/tuxbox/config you have cardserv.cfg with (for upper slot in this example) EMMs enabled.

TCP_PORT = 10000
EMM-G = yes
EMM-S = yes
EMM-U = yes
Then your card should update correctly.

Aha! I didn't change the config yet, but as soon as I selected Newcamd and switched the card to the upper slot it began working. I hope it lasts. Thanks for your help.
