DiSEQc switch

All
Ideas please. I'm using a 2 way diSEQc for B3 and I701. When I go I701 without the diSEQc inline, I get pics (signal quality 50 to 60), when I put the diSEQc inline (for B3 also), there is no signal quality on I701 and B3 works ok. I have a Humax 5400 allcammed from Hot**ips. I am using a 85cm dish. It's like the diSEQc is not switching over to I701 when required.
Thanks for any assistance.
Keith

Yes m8, I have experimented with all those settings. I rang Ho***ips today, and he suggested setting the B3 to disabled, with I701 on diSEQc B.
I'm starting to thing the diSEQc is maybe faulty.
Thanks for your reply

Hi
Sounds like the diseqc is indeed faulty - there is a fix
Set B3 to LNB1 ON Diseqc and the hmax to tone burst A
Set i701 to LNB2 and humax to tone burst B

Cheers

One of you guys may be able to answer this question with what I thing is a diSEQc problem.
I have 4-way switch. Set up as follows

B3 A
B1 B
701 C

My problem is that when I switch to B1 or 701 I need to switch between Horizontal and Vertical (12V and 18V) to get signal.

I checked with a meter at the diSEQc 4 way switch to insure that when I change from A, B, C or D that the switch (voltage) changed to the relevant input, both with the vertical and horizontal. I found that B, C & D all change correctly.

"A" on the other hand always had power on it. Is this normal for the A input to always have power on it when switching between the other 3 inputs?

I then moved B3 to B, B1 to C and 701 to C. "A" still has power on it all the time and I still have to switch between Horizontal and Vertical to get B1 and 701 to work.

This problem started when I moved the switch into the roof. All was fine when I had the switch about 2 meters from the STB. Now it has about 10 meters of cable between the STB and switch.
I guess the next thing I should do is take the STB into the roof with the shorter cable between STB and switch and see if that solves my switching problem?

But I was still wondering if the A input should have voltage on it whilst switching between the other 3 inputs

Simple, the problem is all the cheap shit DiseqC switches getting around
Buy a better quality one from a reputable dealer and you should have no problems
When you are using more than 2 dishes unfortunatly there is no compensating on tone burst,as there are only 2 of them

hi

I am using a TOPFIELD all cam with a 85cm dish (for i701) & 65cm dish (for B3) and I am currently having the exact same problem as KJ (initial thread).

I have tried with the setting explained in this thread but to no avails.

Is it possible that the DiSeqc is dead?

Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Is one of your dish is set with motor control rather then diseqc? If so then when you go from diseqc to any motorized dish, there is NO diseqc command sent to go to diseqc x (where x is where the motorized dish is). Solution, set a dummy channel with dummy sat using diseqc x. Just before you go to a channel using diseqc x, go to this dummy channel first then go to the channel you wanted. This step will send the signal to switch to the correct diseqc position first before you use your motorized dish. Someone else gave me this solution.

Unhappy

Hi,
I have a 4 way diseqc switch set to astra19, astra28, hotbird and Telstar 12. I am getting signal on all 4 sats. My problem is that I have 3 recievers and I have tried everything to split the output from the diseqc switch to no avail. I used a 2.4 Ghz splitter with all ports powered and it did not work at all then I tried one with only 1 port powered and that only works if the channels watched on the different recievers are from the same Satellite and the same Transponder otherwise I get no signal. Lastly I tried to connect the recievers together through the LNB Out jack of the recievers themselves but still no luck. Any suggestion or help would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Oolong...
