Hope we can get it back in seca2 before it goes completely.When it does go to just NDS it looks like it will only be on official cards just hope the guys come up with some way of getting it.

Rupert is very shrewd (like most multi millionaires) and does not like giving things away. The NDS system is a difficult nut to crack, the UK receivers and cards are matched pairs updated over the air. Not easy my friends!!

In this moment there is a firmware for dreambox ,but only for an official card run on dreambox.

It was not Sky UK that decreed that the box is married to the card (Sky analogue / Early Sky digital was not). That request was from the BBC fot their (all be it NDS encrypted) FTA services.
Now, ironically BBC has gone FTA on 28 deg East. However Sky still have the married card / box system. Why? because it's easier to keep it in place than introduce a new unmarried system.
Let's hope that Sly Italia do not follow the UK with the married box stuff and good luck to our friends in Italia with help breaking this, untill now, unbreakable encryption.
