Help with DSTV/Multichoice

Just moved to Africa and I am just getting started with this satellite stuff. From the information that I gathered so far DSTV/multichoice service seem to be the most popular around here or the only local provider. Priced $600-1800 which seems a bit to expensive compare to my cable bills.

So, I am trying to find out if I there is any way to duplicate a multichoice/DSTV smart card? If possible, what kind of smart card is need? or is there a place where I can get codes to make this happen? I have looked through the newbie archive but did not see much that can help me, if anyone can direct me where to look for reading material, I really do appreciate it.
