Card Sharing

Hi All,

Absorbing all the info on card sharing. a couple of questions???

1.How do you think it will affect the DB when\if they marry the cards to the STB t

The Providers box is married to the card - u can use the card in any non-provider box

Not sure what you mean by that but

At the moment the cards v4, etc can be used in any boxes but isnt one of the added features of NDS is the ability to lock the card to a specific box.

What i mean is, at the moment V4 cards are being issed to wipe out goldies. once all the goldies are wiped out, i understand they will roll out the new STB, NDS capable.

When they are all rolled out one of the functions is card marrying.

I suppose i seem pessimistic but if they enable that function then we may all need to rethink card sharing.

i hope i am wrong? any other comments on this???

Fox has Canned NDS for Sattelite. They are going ACS 4.1 instead.
