Earthing the dish

Just interested to know how important it is to earth the dish. Also by what methods. I found an interesting site http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installation/Installation.htm which has detailed information on earthing as well as other alignment issues.

One thing comes to mind.

Lightning strike, No earth. Then tag, your decoder is it.
