UEC 700 Fine Tuning Signal Problem

Hello,
Was just enquiring on wether anyone in here has experienced my problem before and possibly guide me on how to fix this.
I have the stb conneceted and in the menu under signal detection i can get 86% coarse tune and %100 fine tune.
But during various times of the day my coarse tuning will stay at 86% but my fine tune dissapears all 2gether and my picture freezes and occasionally goes to the old black screen with searching for signal highlighted.
Another thing that i have noticed is in the local time setting options it displays the correct time but for sum reason the date is stuck on either the year 1969 or 1970??? could this have any thing to do with my problem as im pretty stumped with this one.
Any help or guidance would be much appreciated thankyou.

Is it a provider box or a 3rd party down the pub job? Either way it doesn't seam right! Have you tried resetting the box ack to factory default?

I only ask cause if it is a provider box then it's their problem, they will/should replace the thing! Are you getting signal loss in heavy cloud or rain? Or is it random in general weather?

Question

Sounds like you got cable/Lnbf problem, during the day where the temp.is a bit high, the resistance of cable looses.
At night where it is cold, the reisitance of coax cable and Lnbf performance is at it's best.
I had this problem on UEC 660 but it only happens during the afternoon,I replace the co-ax cable that connects from the wall plate to the Rx,it fixed the problem.
I would start at the cable, then if it still the same try the LNBF.

Yes i have reset it to factory default.
I was fortunate enough to be able do do that during one of the times it was actually working.
I then rescanned and it wont load up now past the nit acquisition and just freezes there as there isnt enough signal being recieved for it to continue.
And its a 3rd party decoder that i got off a friend who knows a friend who knows everyone in the know.
The only problem is i have another uec 700 as well and it seems to work fine with no hassles at all.
As for the cable or possibly the lnbf i packed it up and took over to a mates setup and just swapped boxes on his system and still has the same problem?????
And the signal seems to drop out at random not really specific times at all.
Is there possibly some kind of firmware upgrade i may have missed???? or can apply?????
thankyou for your time guys
