Thanks for the reply and information notaclue. I have been spending hours, days, weeks and months, reading and searching on the internet to find a solution.
My trouble began when my goldie died after serving me faithfully for over 2 years. My mistake every night I would turn off the power to the receiver at the wall socket.Took pot luck and bought the goldie on ebay when advertised as 8 used gold cards for someone who can re-cycle them. I did not have a clue about programming. But I was lucky for one of the cards produced pics for all the Aurora channels. That's all I wanted. I have a irdeto2 legal card but did not give all channels.
To revive the goldie I bought a Usb unlimited from Danmark. Not knowing how to.....wiped out all information on the card. Then ordered a dm600PVR from the UK. to enable me to log. Inorder to pay for the dreambox I decided to sell my my c-band 2.3m dish, stand, receiver+cam the whole set-up on ebay. I got back only 16% of what I originally paid for it.
Then my dreambox arrives. A whole new ball game to learn that took me weeks to figure out about softcams etc. etc. All this just to get 2 more channels on Aurora. Now I remember the poem for want of a nail the horse and rider was lost.
