how can you get charged for box office without buying?

Hi, just a newbie, I hope this is a relevant place to post if not I apologise.
The problem I have is that I have been charged by sky for a box office event that neither of the two people in the house ordered (it was sport and have no interest). sky are insisting that it can only be viewed by the sat box that has the sat card in it, but is not the case as we did not order, watch, or anything.

can anybody shed light on how it was viewed etc when we didn't, and we were in watching TV at the time of the screening.

You dont have to watch a box office programme to be charged. If you happened to press a sequence of buttons you could have accidently been booked as requesting the programme.

This happened to me a few years back and I told sky to stick their box where the sun don't shine. They cancelled the charge and set my box so that I had to enter a pin number before I could request a programme.

As I never watched box office I just disconnected the phone line.

Hi, I dumped the phone line connection years ago after the initial contract ran out and have never even looked at the box office offerings. They have the order down as a telephone order using our pin, which is locked in a safe!
