Locked Topfield 3000ciPro

Hi All...

My father-in-law has managed to totally fu*k up his decoder and has some how locked the bloody thing.

I have tried 0000 the default lock code, and I have also called Hot*hips where he purchased it from.

Ho*Chips was no help at all... no after sales support
there!

Does anyone know of a way to reset a Topfield?

Sorry I can't help directly but have you e-mailed Topfield directly?

As for HotC**** well I had to use Dept Fair Trading NSW to get throgh to them..... Ahh you live and learn...

resetting TF3000CIpro

Try This to rectify your problem


TOPFIELD TF3000CIpro : Resetting to factory defaults (Deletes existing settings)
*This step in not required unless you have made an error and wish to start from the Top
- Power the unit on, press menu key on the remote, select installation, press OK
scroll down to Factory settings using the P- button, press OK, Using the V- button
select yes and press OK, using the V- button select yes again and press OK.
Press OK again to continue and you should now be in the installation menu ready to
do a first time installation.




TOPFIELD TF3000CIpro : First time Installation
1- Power the unit on by pressing the standby button on the remote control
(Please make sure the batteries have been installed into the remote unit)
2- Main menu should appear on the screen
3- Press the P- button and select Installation press OK
4- Installation menu should appear, LNB Settings should be highlighted in yellow
press OK. You should now be in LNB Setting screen, Press OK and scroll down
using P- key untill OptusB3 is highlighted in white. Press OK. Press P- scroll
down to LNB Frequency and press V+ twice untill you see 5150. Using the remote
keypad numbers punch in the numbers 11300 . In the bottom right hand side
you should see two bar levels (level & quality) both nearly at the 90% mark.
Scroll down using the P- key untill channel search is highlighted yellow, press OK.
Now you should be in the Channel Search menu. Scroll down using the P- key to
untill you see the Start Search highlighted in yellow and press OK.
* On Older models (Units purchased before 01-04-2003 use the instructions in 4A)
5- You should now be in the Searching screen and the unit should start searching for
stations by scrolling them down in increments.It will take approx. 90 seconds to
pre-tune to all stations relevant to that satellite and at the end should say -
search complete 183 TV, 111 Radio searched Press OK to continue (TV and radio station
numbers depends on the providers transmission at the time of broadcast) Press OK.
6- Press exit. (If the satellite dish & lnb and cable installation was done properly
you should be now ready to view the desired channels)

***END***
*4A- Use this in place of step 4 if the Unit was purchased before 01-04-2003
