I dont have Cable but I have seen a lot of queries about it in the posts. Would be a good idea. You can learn both systems then.

Cable may become and even more important source to learn about if we can not work together and get the NDS encryption open or worked around...

Also the cable services for Optus (not aware of foxtels cable) provide more channels, some that are encrypted in Irdeto 2 even.

Regards

Unfortunately I cannot get either T or O cable. (for at least another 3 yrs) but a forum to support cable would be ideal as the majority of major suburbia runs cable and not sat.
I am bias due to the fact I am still learning as I go and this is a way of finding out more about the cable aspect of the industry.

There are 3 there on your list (the last 3) that are encrypted in Irdeto2 - and the only place they are encryped by Irdeto2 is on sat by LBC

Yeah thats right 'some' channels are in Irdeto 2 channels which are not available on Satellite (B3) but are available on Optus Cable....Providing more channels on the cable service as compared to the Satellite service of B3. The last 3 are available on PAS 2 at 169.0°E (C-BAND)

Cheers.
