Big Brother live on Optus B1

Hey guys,

If you already know this just disregard this comment but

For South Australian, Western Australian and Northern Territory viewers who dont get to see BB live,or BB up late, on Optus B1 Chgannel 10 is FTA live! it works out on channel 10 its half an hour delay but on B1 its live, and I explained this to channel 10, and I was allowed to ring up for the Up Late trivia, because I was watching live (this is why the SA, WA and NT viewers are excluded from entering).

Whether you love it or hate it (just average crap reality tv to me), big bro does seem to be a very popular show. The fact that this is the 4th episode and the prize has been upped to $1mil as opposed to $250k suggests that the producers must be making some $$ with this show.
The disturbing thing is, the only reason this show is doing well is because of the people that ring or sms their vote. Without votes the show would cease to operate.
The Australian public is unfortunately helping (along with the sponsors who you WOULD expect) to fund the show that pays all Bigbro staff and the cash prize at the end.
SINCE WHEN SHOULD THE PUBLIC HAVE TO PAY FOR FTA TV???
The "average" person spends at least 80% of their wage on just living expenses alone, plenty of that would be on products that are advertised by the sponsors. Now we have all these reality tv shows that think WE should be the ones to pay for their shows?? And to make it worse, people are actually doing this??
I guess its the same as paying $50 a month to watch ads on f@x or @ustar.
That must be why I refused to continue paying for @ustar when the advertising was introduce, but my woman cant live without it so she pays for it now

in all honesty the idea behind Big Brother is absolutely woeful, if it were food it would be a decomposing steak (http://www.thespark.com/science/stinkymeat/index.html)

i find it extremely hard to believe people watch the show. if they do watch it i bet it is because of the low quality of television shows here in australia i.e. nothing better's on

p.s. I can't stand Rove either (he's such a try-hard and is just not funny; imitating Letterman on more occasions that you can poke a stick at.) but i did catch the segment where that bloke from BB was on, you know the one that apparently protested in favour of the refugees, good on him! but did you notice how Rove was trying to downplay everything the refugee guy was tyring to promote, apparently he donated a car that he won on the show but Rove didn't pay any attention to this, mentioning it under his breath and concentrated on the ipod that he was to keep and made fun of him because of that! Rove's a big time loser just like big brother

Yep, that's actually the new "raw" version of TasDigital, which I think also includes the 5:00 News from Melbourne[?] (am I right?). I'm going to try and scrounge round for a good cheap secondhand 1.2 metre dish so I can get it (and the other "raw" feeds too) on B1.
