If you wish do do an Emerald Card this is a must have program.
I'm not sure of any other program that will do the Pic chip on the Emerald Card (pic 16f682)
Maybe someone else can point me toward's another program that will do Emeral Cards, co's I dont particually like this program, but some people sware by it and would not use anything else.
This program will do any Pic and eeprom that's currently being used in the hobby but is a liitle more complex than Chipchat23 and Cardwriter and does a lot more 8)

Hi Far_Call, I used dosprog 2.09 to program the pic side then used elviscc to switch to phoenix mode and loaded cards using cardhunter.

No problems at all, worked first time every time.

multiprog 0.6 or later does emeralds fine, or at least it did for me.

Yep ive always used multiprog to program pic.
Only card ever had a problem with are funcards with ghostfun.

icprog needed 4 xp

dloaded ic prog but wen i open it comes up wth "priveleged instruction error " what's wrong?

All you need to do is go to options and misc tab and click the check box enable nt/2000/xp driver box.( i am asumming you are useing win xp pro). i hope this helps.
