Recording freeze & recording don't start

Hy
I have a RU 1.08 hot fix 23/7 installed, with a regular italian "SHY" card but when I try to record a program, sooner or later the DB freeze even I only see or record.
My second problem is that I try to program some recording but it doesn't start anytime.

Why?

I've tried various cam with the same results.

I have the same problem too.
It's not an image problem.
I even tried another hd but it's just the same. It just hangs randomly when recording and all channels (including FTA) goes black.

this is my suggestion :::
Same problem is for me now fixed and solvt with a new hardisk!!
If the quality of the hardisk is not good enough can happen problem by starting recording from stanby or also with direct red button!!! freeze and go on!!!!

Before to give the liability to the box !!! Try to make a test with another HArd Disk!!

The real cause often is that the powersupply cannot really power a harddisk, especially when it is starting. Changing to another harddisk can help, because some disks take less current than others.

I have installed a larger disk which takes even a bit less current than my first one, according to the datasheet. Both disks are certified OK by Dream. But still with this new disk I had some crashes when the disk starts, which I did not have with the old disk.
Probably the exact characteristics of the peak current are important as well.

When I had my box open because it needed to be reflashed by JTAG, I took the opportunity and installed a small extra powersupply that powers only the disk.
This has completely solved the problems.

Of course this should not happen in an officially supported product, but...

well , i have problem with recording and palyback movies in hdd
using 108 img .. and think there is a bug in this Release... its freeze for less than 1 sec. which shows Repeated picture and unstable preview.. but with 107 img its more stable.


i will try improve the LNB signal then i will see.

Yes I already try thi many days ago and I change the HD with a 2,5" one (an hd for laptop and notebook) but the result is the same.

I had the same problem while recording german pay-TV "Premiere" with official subscriber card in internal card reader: freezes, black-outs, reboots etc etc
I tried various images, with official 107.4 and 1.08 in flash and different others on USB. The only combination that works is: 107.4 DMM in flash and triple_xxx_new or triple_xxx_taquilla on USB. No problems at all plus with the built-in SCAM emu most interesting other channels work as well.

Try it.

Try it.

Take an actual camd3 with Premiere Card and you never ever have such problems :-) But timeshifting is not working with camd3 and Premiere card.

I have the freezers only with ZetaCam yellow.
without the ci no problems.(ru 1.08)

I have the same problem with you guys. I own the original NOVA card with UCAS beta10 but it freezes... My HDD is WD 120GB 8MB cache 7200RPM. I'll try to use an external power supply!
