Problem with Jtag for my Relook 400s

I am trying to flash my Relook 400s using Jtag cable but i keep getting the following error:
Relook 400s <PAL> board initialize
Flash info. : Unknown Unknown
Flash recognize failed. Retry(0x0, 0x0)
I have tried all versions of the Jtag software

tried all the Parallel port settings in the Bios , still the same problem and the Relook screen still showing ************
Jtag Cable length is about 12cm
Windows XP with SP3 . logged in as an Administrator - HP laptop.

You have all ok .
i have this same Windows programming by laptop on lpt port no problem , i have about 20 cm length cable.
try diffrent jtag.
