Relook & dreambox

I have both of the relook 200 and 400 no this is a mean receiver it is more stable then any linux decoder there is with the 200 u cant make the decode hang I tried take the internet off, takeing the signal off ,zap for 1 ch very fast jumping for sat 2 sat ,it is billed to stay a live I got some little problems with the 400 when installing the HDD if I press the stop and recoding buttons 5 to 7 time go back and forward it hangs but it reboots by it self ,I like this very much and it also recodes the film or ch that you are watching so if u miss the movies for some rezone u can play it back even if u didn’t press the record button and what is really amazing is I killed my internet with heave downloads use 99 % for my download and still the emu is working a get all my chs with fast speed zapping like no one is using the line.
I couldn’t believe that this is true ,I test it and it is more then true.

- When comparing it to Dreambox

1- I like Dreambox menu better but for a guy that didn’t use a Linux box before Relook doesn't need and teaching it user friendly simple as 1 2 3 .

2- Relook is very stable take the internet off signal off nothing will hang the decode at all (relook 200) the 400 has some problems with recoding some times it hangs.

3- l like the Dreambox shape very much I think it nicer then Relook

4- I like Dreambox booklets when u zap the next ch u set the next ch in the booklet it self with Relook you get the ch in front so if you are on ch 122 ull go to 123

5- duel tuner 100 % WORKING in the Relook 400 in Dreambox 7025 still not working until now

6- channel searching in Dreambox is a little faster not like it’s a problem

7- didn’t get any problem with any kind of disiq the china one or the German ones all work with Relook with out a problem with Dreambox some kind work some don’t

8- the Relook price is really some thing its 30 % to 50 % cheaper then the Dreambox
That when comparing Dm500 to the Relook 200 and the 7025 to the Relook 400

I hope that I helped in to giving some info to every one that is asking

Regards
Dr Card

i think dm500 is very cheap now , we just pay 70 usd for a dm500. maybe it is a dm500 clone.

Re: Relook & dreambox

I have a cloned DM 500 bought direct from China. Cannot tell the difference except that it was MUCH cheaper £67 incl P&P

I also have a REAL 7000s and have to say the 500 is slightly better in certain areas.

I looked at the Relook range (temptation is a terrible thing ) but the Dreambox still has the edge but at a price It is currently much better supported but in a years time? Who knows! I shall wait a while and see.......
