jaycar and P16Pro programmers

hi i was wondering which programmer do i program the eeprom hex file with? i tryed it with fmcard to the jaycar programmer but it says can not talk to card
so i was getting it is with the p16pro but thought i would make sure first

also when i do program it with the p16pro and program everythink onto the goldie i stick it into the decoder and all i get is channel 1 which is just a blank screen. I am useing the gfgold files on a winme OS

could someone help me please?

The P16Pro can only be used to program the PIC on your goldie. You will also need a card reader/writer (also available from Jaycar) to program the eprom.

After six months of reading on these forums, without asking a single question by the way, I managed to program my first goldie a few months ago.

Here's the sequence to follow:

1. Use you're P16Pro with the Picall software that came with it to load GFGoldNoUpdatingCoco.hex
2. Take the card out of the P16Pro programmer and put it in your card reader/writer. Now, using FM Card, load GFGold.crd and send to your card then load MyGFGoldPersonal.crd (after you have entered your details in the right places) send to your card and you're done!

It may take a few minutes before you get a picture as the card will need to receive an update. Good Luck.

thanks i got it working has all channels on it but has a E30 so i am waiting for a update had it in for about a hour and still nothing so i am gonna put it back in tonight and leave it in all night and see if that works

you should have got a pic in less than 5 min, if you get e30 means it not reading and details, be best to reprog the card with the valid details and make sure they are in the right places with which prog you choose to use.
did you check your pmk with the emk.?
