Getting Jaycar to work with ggedit/lmedit

has anyone got the jaycar% to work with ggedit or lmedit? It won't for me?

If u have can u pass on the settings etc.

Hi.

No problems on this end. The only settings you need to be concerned with are the correct Com port selection, and the jumper setting for clock speed. Jumper towards the Xtals is 6Mhz and 3.5 the other way around. On LMedit, ensure you select the correct code to match what on your card.

i had a small problem at the start , had ths caps next to the max232 chip all wrong

put in the correct polarity & rotation & bingo works a treat on a toshiba laptop

make sure your power supply is DC or use a 9v battery(must be new) once voltage drops below about 7.6v she don't work to well

9 Volt adaptor Sure?

Omega99 has good info !

I built the jaycar kit and I was tearing my hair out as to why the read LED was not flashing? The voltages checks were around the max232 chip measured @ 4.52 V.
I swapped the power adaptor with another 9 V and low and behold, the bugger started to work.
Final votage checks around the max232 were a steady 5V.
Now I can read the cards
