Burn2DVD DM70x0 DVD burning tool

You need:
- HDD installed and at least 10GB free space for creating the temorary files
- a swapfile... i recommend 256mb for 7k
optional:
- DVD Kit with DVD-RW drive installed and mounted with blanc DVD-R or DVD-RW


Installation of plugin and tools
--------------------------------

FTP (copy) tarball file burn2dvd70*0.tar.gz to your Dreambox DM70*0 in /hdd
Telnet to Dreambox and go to harddrive (cd /hdd)
execute the following unpacking command:

tar -xzf burn2dvd70*0.tar.gz -C /

pls replace * with 0 for DM7000 or 2 for DM7020


wait until it's finished unpacking

Hey man.
Looks like a great deal of work you went through to get this done.
I am just trying to make a test dvd.(or .iso file)
.iso would be perfect.
I have a 7000 and enough room on the hdd but I am not too sure how to get this to work.
When I try to execute from the plugin menu, the dreambox crashes and it looks like it is restarting enigma.
I am not sure if this is how to use it but It is clearly not working on my machine.lol
Is this the right way to access the plugin or is it all done through telnet?
I can't wait to see how well this works.
I know since I bought my dreambox I have read a million posts about how to convert your .ts files 16 times before you can burn them to a dvd.
Now someone has finally done it.
One single solution.

hmm..
i need more infos about your box.. which software are u running, flash or usb ??
i compiled the plugin against cvs 24.03.07 and sucessfully tested with gemini3.4, latest boxman-image, tdw image and my old 2gether image..
afaik some of my betatesters were running gemini3.3, aaf-target, pli flubber.

if u are running ur image form usb, maybe try to reformat usb, install image and install plugin.. some of my testers had same porb with image from usb, cause filesystem was corrupt..

hey guys.
got some pm's concerning running this plugin on "NON-Dreamboxes"..
it was written for Dreambox firmware with latest kernel. no further tests were carried out.

My box is a 7000 with a 320 gig drive.
Gemini 3.4 running in usb.

some guys on euro forums had the same prob.. probs were gone after formating usb and reinstalling image...

well.
I tried installing a fresh image.
installed with no problems but still crashes enigma.
not sure what is causing this.
any Ideas?
