Newcamd Server and Linux Server

Hi all,

Can anybody explain how to creat a Linux Server and newcamd server to share cards please??

i have dreambox 7000s, router, internet 1mb, Cross Serial cable, usb infinity
multi programmer and a computer running winxp pro.

so what are the equepments, hardware and softwares i will need to be able to share my cards??

First thing is you throw your USB programmer in the trash
Get a Phoenix compatible smartcard one that uses a COM port (RS232)
Then you need a propper serial cable (not cross over) and a power supply 12V 300mW for the Phoenix
Get some old Pentium1 or Pentium2 without a harddrive and no extras except a Floppy and an Ethernet card.
Download fli4l mini Linux and run it on that old pig.
Copy newcamd files as described in readme and server to the Internet
Insert smartcard in Phoenix

That's it

i cant get it to work here made the floppy fli4l and getting a : /etc/rc.cfg: 1 Syntax error: ")" unexpected

i tried many configs trying to get it to work but no luck . so thats the dirst bottle neck

ps maybe you have a boot image of a working floppy with server in one you want to post so people can edit it to get it working for them

update i got the disk workin now and now i`m trying to get cardserver.i386 to work no luck here it keeps saying file not found .
meanwile when i list the dir i see the file ????

maybe a ./cardserver.i386 may help you

thx but i already tried that no luck so far but i`ll keep trying anytips welcome in the mean time i`ll keep trying.
when i found a solution i`ll post my findings here

maybee a chmod 755 cardserver.i386 then?
or else perhaps you miss some libraryfiles to get it running

also tried that offcourse i think its a libary thing only i have no clue witch one i`m hoping JPM can tell me more
