Program titles garbled in Timer Edit window

Using Iolite (and Helenite before), all channel and program titles appear correctly using the MV External EPG. However, if I try to program a recording, the Timer Edit window shows the titles of programs from some channels as unreadable, garbled junk.

Once recorded, the movie title also shows up the same way. However, if I play the recorded movie title and then click the Info button on the remote, the title and description show up correctly.

This is a pain though as I am forced to manually rename all recorded programs.

Note that before Helenite, I did not have this problem. (Of course, the channel provided may have changed the way they encode the program titles in the meantime.) I had read a post previously when the final Helenite was released that mentioned the exact same thing and I believe that hemertje had replied that a fix would be included in the next release. Unfortunately, I can't find that post now.

Any ideas?

Update: I just realized that if I set the timer using the web interface the program titles show correctly and the recorded program shows the correct title. Does anyone know what is the problem? Is there a simple way I can solve it? Thanks.
