Dual boot PLI and Gemini with Dreamflash

Currently, I have a DM7020 running Gemini 3.10 and a hard drive. Gemini is installed in the dreambox flash memory

I can add the Dreamflash 2.8 software from the Gemini Image via the blue remote control button.

I also have a blank 256M USB flash memory which I can use for dual booting. If I install the PLi image into the usb flash memory will I be able to dual boot gemini and Pli?

I've read the thread about HDD and Pli. I have some recordings on the HD I would like to keep. Will I still be able to view these after dual booting?

Any links or pointers appreciated, thanks in advance.

I suggest you use Flashwizard 6.3 to install the PLi image. It will automatically install multiboot as it installs the new image on usb. If you select the copy active image settings box it will put youe existing settings in the new image.

When you reboot, you will be given the option to boot either the flash image or the PLi image.

You can add as many images as you like to the usb whilst there is sufficient memory.

Give a few a try, there are some nice ones available.

There should be no problem with your recordings on HDD.
