Hi Jenpeter

I havent tried the Tekram myslef but others seem to have had them working.....see:

http://www.no-access.de/en/en_hardware.html

Which Windows are you running? Windows 95/98/98SE is easier to get going...hope you are not trying XP

There is a short doc I have attached, does your device manager pick up the Nokia?

Cheers

Sea

9500 scsi tekram dc315u

Hi Jenpeter,
Have you managed to get your Nokia 9500 working with your Tekram DC-315U scsi card yet?
I had the same setup about a year ago, and managed (with some difficulty) to get them operating correctly with win98se and 333Mhz processor.
The Tekram SCSI card is a little slower than the Adaptec SCSI card.
To get the card operating you need to install the dos drivers, set the cards flash ram with the setup utility (in dos mode), then "rem" out the dos drivers from autoexec.
If you still need the settings or Tekram drivers, I,ll hunt them up and post them here.

Hi Jenpeter,
Tekram card is a good reliable card when set up though.
I have seen Adaptec AHA2940 card with a 50 pin socket.
Adaptec AHA2940U or UW has a 68 pin socket.
These cards work straighjt away with minimal setup.
I don't know about the SCSI leads that you have. I once purchased a 68 pin lead (new) from a computer shop and all it would do is hang the nokia 9500.
Apparently Nokia 9500 gets hot when using 50 pin but not when using 68 pin.
I have not confirmed this though.
If you need an Adaptec AHA2940 50 pin card, PM me as I have a mate in Perth who has some.

Radio Jim.
