emk updates and ProIDs

this a newbie question for me so i stuck it here lol

When the provider turns off the details of a customer do they still send emk updates to that set of ProID and HSN numbers, or are they cut out of the stream?

Cheers

When a card gets cancelled, usually the CHID's are removed from the card. This is why some members say that there goldie is still OK. Then when an EMK rollout occurs the card is just left out

rickie3 I think you are right in someways there, as i have some old details from a friend who canceled there sub about 6 months ago and it is still being updated now by what i can see in the logs which is interesting but without a valid HMK it won't be any good,

Cheers

The other possibilty is that the card have been recycled. A friend of mine (yes I do have mates) cloned his subby with a galaxy card, then canned his sub. His old card was recycle because the package that he had and now what gets updated to is different he also gets PPV events from time to time on that card.

Your right Mattie, when I gave Austar their extra box and card back, they just give the card an EMK update and a Provider ID change, and away it went again, also have seen another card reintroduced with no changes at all, they didn't even bother to change Provider ID.
