foxtel and optus.

HI.
I am getting foxtel installed up at my unit, and my parents have got optus vision my service is booked to be a foxtel IQ service where is the optus is just the standard foxtel digital service provided by optus. My service will be having more channels in it so will it be possible to put my card into their box. They have cable tv (optus vision) and my foxtel is sat tv.

I have heard the foxtel card would work in the optus box but the optus card not work in the foxtel box. Is this true or are they completely compatible or incompatible

Re: foxtel and optus.

now it doesent seem that they are going to install it, the installation technition said the tree that is in the way of the unit needs to be trimed down so they can get signal where the dish will be mounted. the tree is a councel tree and i am not sure as to wether the tree will be able to be trimed. now foxtel are wanting to charge me for a dissconnection fee (go figure) because the account is active. meanwhile the service is still not installed and i am (aparrently being charged for it.) optus wont touch the place because it has 3 or more units in the complex so i cant get cable tv. i am so glad i moved to redcliffe.

anyway if foxtel continue to charge me for nothing i will be takeing them to coart over the matter, especcially if the tree problem is not rectified. so if anyone can avoid it dont sign up for foxtel, go with optus.
