Satellite Coverage Maps

Dear all,

I have just started a new website - www.satbeams.com.
The site allows to view the Satellite Coverage maps for most of the satellites all over the globe in Google Maps format.
At the same time it is possible to place markers on the map stating which frequencies/channels one can receive at the specific location and view what others can receive from the selected satellite in different places of the world.

I have just started this project and I am very interested to receive your feedback - feel free to read the FAQ section and post your questions there. If you discover some bugs or inconsistencies - please do not hesitate to contact me directly (there is a "contact" link at the bottom).

If you find the site helpful and would like to support it I would really appreciate if you could place your own markers on the map with the frequencies that you can get at you location (and especially the most difficult ones that may appear beyond the official coverage zone).

Best regards,

Alexander

Defiantly a cool site, worth saving and passing along to others.

Re: Satellite Coverage Maps

Thank you guys!

I will do my best to develop the site further and make it better!!!

I would really appreciate your contribution to the site - just set your marker there! Right, there are not too many markers at the moment as I have just started!

Doing so you help others who want to setup a dish somewhere in your neighborhoods but do not know which dish size is needed!

Best regards,

Alexander

Alexander:

It is a great initiative. Congratulations.

I did put a maker for me: reception of Nilesat near Brussels with a PFA 240cm.

I just find it hard to know how to put a marker + all the info. It is not intuitive. Please make it easier and more obvious for new comers (i guess everybody is a new comer as the site is new).

Otherwise it is a great effort...

Re: Satellite Coverage Maps

Charly20,

Thank you very much! I saw your marker on the map already!!!
I know that Nilesat Hpol is quite difficult to get in Belgium.

I am putting together a short help on how to set the marker as I can see not too many people can get through the process. Also trying to make the process more friendly. I will post the updates it on the site in the next few days...

Best regards,

Alexander
