Need a few things cleared up please...

Been doing alot of reading in the last few days and now my eyes are like but its all good because im learning something new everyday.

Anyways with extracting the details from the sub card i am fairly confident that i understand everything, but for the programing of the gold card i need a few things cleared up..

I dont have to put any Chid's onto the gold card do i? I would only use them on a MOSC yes? But then i would have to change them very often anyways. So im guessing that when you put valid details onto the gold card it will recieve the channels without me adding any Chid's yes?

Which bring me to my next question about the Coco. Do i put any one or do i put the dht coco (cant remeber off the top of my head how it was spelt specifically) in order to recieve the full channel boutique?

I think thats it for now. Any answers to my queries would be greatly appreciated

Ohh...ive tried searching for this, but if i have missed something somewhere please point me in the right direction. The last thing i want is to anger anyone

Youre right on all accounts
Channel Ids are only for Mosc (modified original smart cards) and they do get reset back to the package your paying for, every week to 2 weeks
Gold cards dont require ch-ids
DTH (direct to home) Coco will give you all channels, depends on your box if you cant channel stack then its via the TV button on the Remote to select Boquets
You can have the dth coco for both or add a provider coco, which means if your not around when the coco changes your wife/gf/kids can pull and re-insert card to make it change to the provider coco and still enjoy most channels, till you update the card

Thanks for clearing up the Chid's part!

So when i program the gold card i enter the DTH coco in the first line of the code and a provider coco in the other line of code yes? And like you said, in the even of a coco update all that is required is to re-insert the card to get the basic package channels untill i update the card...yes?

Lastly, in regards to channel stacking would the standard foxtel stb be compatible with this? Even if not, itll be good to actually understand what channel stacking is/does. Guess i have some more reading to do..

Once again thanks for the help...greatly appreciated
