I'm a Newbie with a question

Ok decided to buy a DB500s to learn from, I've had it for a few days and loving it very much, the possiblities seem endless, anyway so far I've flashed it with the PLi diamond image and connected it to my LAN, and installed both camd3 and newcamd EMUs using the blue button>software Management>downloads. Now I've set myself the task of trying to get my original sky card to work in my DB, I've set the default softcam to newcamd which I believe should work the the nds sky card, now I've read that there are 3 config files that need editing: newcamd.conf, cardserv.cfg and betad.cfg which are located on my db /var/tuxbox/config/newcamd i've edited the betad.cfg and added my 10 digit boxid and also edited the cardserv.cfg and again entered my boxid, I couldnt find anything in the newcamd.conf to edit so I left that one be, I then copied the new edited files across to the db in /var/tuxbox/config/newcamd which replaced the existing ones, then rebooted the db, i then insert my card and try to decode a sky channel but nothing happens black screen now I'm pretty sure I've probably missed something out or done something wrong so was hoping if someone could put me right.

I'm just curious why you are using the older Diamond image instead of the latest Pli Flubber Sequel image.

problem solved, I installed NewCS and Evocam and it worked straight away, and didnt even have to edit any of the configs.

As for the Pli diamond image, well didnt realise there was a better one ie flubber, will re-flash it tonight, as I said only had my db a few days. and pretty new to the scene
