Unhappy No signal problem 7025

Back again guys
Well i got myself up and running last night.
I installed the updated flash and set up the auto update.
I got some help from here and got the Agila satelite working.
I even had it running with my joker Cam and a card, reciving all chanels.

But then i got too smart too soon...
I was playing around and corrupted something. No prob just reflash the MC yith the 7025 flash file on the dream website... Hmm No DCHP. out comes the serial cable...
Fixed that, updated the flash again, did the online update, ftp'd the satellites.xml,
But now i cannot recieve any signal.
I used the advanced setup because my lnb has a lo of 9750 and a Hi of 10750. I removed my diseq and wired direct... lnb-splitter- from the splitter it goes to my other Sat reciever(which has a perfect signal) and my DM7025 But i cannot get any thing... Scan Done, No Service Found.

Any Suggestions

TKS

Re: No signal problem 7025

Ahh now i see

Well my first impressions are all good except the mistake i made jumping in too deep too fast.
What it appears my problem was... I used a piece of software to transfer an image to usb stick/compact flash/HDD I thought it was for 7025... but after the accident i found it was for 7020 (different CPU) it should have loaded a flash loader into the firmware so i could select which source to use usb/compact flash/HDD or original.
as you can see it didnt work.

I have experianced with PC Sat cards a problem with heat and i will consider puttin a small silent fan in the box above the tuner cards and possibly near the powersupply. power could be taken from the HDD headder.

Recording to HDD is good and the recorded movie plays back well.
The tuner is very fast compared to my existing sat reciever.
Overall all appears fine and with more experiance and some Emulators and plugins on the horrizon it should make a excellant machine

So far there is nothing to play with, except scanning channels and watching xxx-channels with the card that came with it. And of course all the FTA-channels...

If anyone figures out how to get 7025 to play divx->mpeg-ts converted files from hdd, please inform! Seems it won't play custom files without proper *.ts.meta files for them.

Re: No signal problem 7025

I touch my box
Sorry I touch my dm7025 and the PSU feels very hot.
I realy think my issues are related to heat.

I have a few ideas (comments please)
The first is to add fans.. But fans equal noise, there are some very nice fans available here(HK) but they all wear out and all make some noise.
Next would be a heat pipe to take the heat away from either the CPU or PSU
or maybee the simplest is to build a partition between the PSY and the rest or the box and then if needed put a small Heatsink/fan on the CPU i think they are called GPU coolers.
Has anyone suspected heat problems yet(7025)
I will try running with no cover and test.
