Cool

Geez Guys, this is not Austech !! Austech use to be a great forum posting info you could really use - now it's just full of misleading informers and leeches all trying to PM each other looking for quick dollars. That's why I joined this forum because it is different and people really trying to make a difference. And personally, I couldn't care less what Foxtel thinks they can write the numbers if they like and I might have a few more unactivated cards for them to add to their little black book. Anyway, I doubt they would look here - this would be least of places for them to look at.

Anyway, has Rickie3 said "those keys are of no use to anyone" is very true.

But they do assist in providing some understanding to newbies and others as good examples in pointing out the differences between the two encryption systems.

Besides, do any of you really care about Foxtel? As scareface said "What did they ever do for us?".... (except take our money)

(Thanks for the suggestion Streeter75, I will try Fmcard and modify the commands. It's just that last time I used FMcard to write to the card it would display errors saying the card is Irdeto2 which it doesn't support.)

Cheers..

If you send Irdeto 1 commands to an irdeto2 card of course its gonna not respond.... But if you send irdeto2 commands to the card..................

the answers will speak for them selves...

Thumbs up Mlog3.82 and FMLogger2.74

Hi Solly,
I've got MLog v3.82 and FMLogger v2.74..

I have not tried Mlog with XP, I generally use Win98 for card programs but MLog should work with XP. If you're having problems with XP then try the Compatibility Switch in WinXP it usually OK for programs that require Win98.

Using the Compatibility Switch in WinXP
--------------------------------------
Unpack MLog and then locate the folder and look for MLog.
Place your pointer on the MLog program and click the right mouse button and select 'Properties'. The properties window will open and it should display 2 x Tabs - 'General' and 'Compatibility' - Click on Compatibility tab and select 'Run this program for Compatibility for' and then select Win 98. (If you try this and there is no compatibility switch in your XP properties then you need to update your XP.)

I added instructions on compatibility above in case you don't know about it or in case MLog decides not to work correctly. Anyway, to save you time I have attached MLog 3.82 and FMLogger 2.74..Enjoy..

If anyone else needs any program just ask and I will post it for you..

Cheers.

Hi C427537,
I'm not having much luck either, there so many possibilites in the combination of codes to be used it's extremely difficult to know exactly which codes still require tweaking before the card would activate. If we knew this exactly we would have found the holy grail. Unfortunately, I don't have activation log either and without this big piece of the puzzle - well, lets just say I don't like our chances at the moment.

Therefore, we need to snoop and do some more research and try and fill in the gaps as we go along. Nevertheless, if I get it working you will certainly hear about it, because I'll be screaming yahoo !!!!..

I have to admit doing the numbers routine takes the toll on the old brain, think I'll hit the sack for tonight.

That's strange Streeter, I tested the program before uploading and I'm running Xp and no errors occured. Oh yes there is something which came to mind when using XP, I have found if you upgrade XP with the SP1 (service pack 1) many card reader programs will fail to work. I made the mistake of upgrading my Windows XP Pro with SP1 pack and from there on I had nothing but problems with programs such as GGEdit, FMCard and some others.

So I re-installed XP from scratch and did all upgrades except for the service pack and that's what I'm using at the moment. At this point all I can suggest is to use the compatibilty switch in XP and see if it works OK. However, there could be a problem with VBrun files which are located in the C:\Windows\System32 folder, sometimes these files become corrupted or you could missing some of them which is preventing the program from running correctly.

If FMCard works on your system then so should FMLogger they both use the same activeX controls in windows. Nevertheless, I have attached the addtional files which might be missing or corrupted. Download and install the files to C:\windows\system32 and in C:\windows\system folders just in case.

The VBrun60.exe file in the archive will extract automatically to the C:\windows\system32 the other files you will need to copy and paste.

I hope this helps streeter..

Cheers.

Lightbulb Command Strings

I have complied some command strings which can be used in FMCard.

Just copy and paste them and FMCard will reply with a result.
Many of you will know these commands, however others who want to play will find it much more useful and will assist them in understanding the basic fundamentals.

There are some commands here that seem to return some interesting results from the card, just not sure what to do with the data as yet. You can try all the commands and compare notes with each other.

How to use.
-----------
(e.g.)

// Get Cards Country Code. Final 3 bytes, in ASCII.
r0
01 02 02 03 00 00

--------------------------------------------------
// = Tells you what it does.

r0 = Resetting the Card, you can ignore this.

01 02 02 03 00 00 = Command String.
Copy and Paste this command in FMCard or other program of your choice.
|
FMCard will respond with the following;
================= Sending Command (Class = GET) =================
Tx-> 01 02 02 03 00 00 3D
Rx<- 01 02 00 00 02 03 00 10 05 05 12 06 23 06 24 06 01 06 02 00 00 58 46 56 73

The 58 46 56 is ASCII for XFN

Here is the list of commands.
----------------------------
// Dump 32 byte contents of buffer.
//If AllowDumpBuff.crd has not been run this is always 00000...
r0
01 02 08 00 00 00

//Allow the dumping of and then dump 32 bytes of buffer.
r0
01 02 07 00 00 00
01 02 08 00 00 00

// Dump 32 byte contents of buffer.
//If AllowDumpBuff.crd has not been run this is always 00000...
r0
01 02 08 00 00 00

//Dumps all the ChanIds, activation dates and timer info for Provider 00 and Provider 10.
//Data is in groups of six bytes.
//Provider 00
r0
01 02 04 00 00 01 00
01 02 04 00 00 01 01
01 02 04 00 00 01 02
01 02 04 00 00 01 03
01 02 04 00 00 01 04
01 02 04 00 00 01 05
01 02 04 00 00 01 06
01 02 04 00 00 01 07
01 02 04 00 00 01 08
01 02 04 00 00 01 09
// Provider 10
01 02 04 00 01 01 00
01 02 04 00 01 01 01

//Get Ascii serial no. First ten bytes only.
r0
01 02 00 00 00 00

// Get Cards Country Code. Final 3 bytes, in ASCII.
r0
01 02 02 03 00 00

//Read Card File 1 and File 2
r0
01 02 0e 02 00 00
01 02 0e 03 00 00

//Get Hex serial no. Last three bytes before the final byte.
r0
01 02 01 03 00 00

//Get Provider ID for Provider 00. Bytes 2,3 and 4. Bytes 5 to 10 are normally 00 00.
//Then comes the date stamp and two bytes following the date stamp.
r0
01 02 03 03 00 00

//Get Provider ID for Provider 10. Bytes 2,3 and 4. Bytes 5 to 10 are normally 00 00.
//Then comes the date stamp and two bytes following the date stamp.
r0
01 02 03 03 01 00

//Asks if card is write protected? This has nothing to do with blocking ECMs.
//Answer 01 04 41 = protected. Answer 01 04 40 = not protected.
r0
01 04 00 00 00 00

//Get Ascii serial no., Provider identifier, ProvId, two bytes and then thirteen bytes (normally the first eight are the same for each provider even on different cards. Provider 00 and 10.
r0
01 02 0f 00 00 00
01 02 0f 00 01 00

Thats it for now, more later, enjoy.

Moses..
