TGS100 in booting loop

Wondering if anyone has suffered this before with there ITGates.

The unit was working near on perfectly (well as good as it could), then i went to try another skin. The skin was called "blackberry" or something like that, after every change of skin, enigma is restarted and picture returns.
After i selected "Yes" to restart enigma this time, it put the TGS100 into a full reboot..... only instead of rebooting, all i got was the first boot screen, then the screen went blank again as the unit had madde an audible click and was rebooting again.

It is now stuck in this rebooting loop.

I have tried a factory reset using factory image via serial null cable, which load correctly.

Yet on turning on, went striaght back to the rebooting loop from first boot screen.

I fear i now have a corrupted boot loader and will have to JTAG the box to get it back alive.

Thank you for any help

Re: TGS100 in booting loop

Now with serial null cable removed, the TGS100 just boots to boot screen and stops.

Re: TGS100 in booting loop

I don't think your boot loader is corrupted. You'll need to load a noboot image. This image clears the user /var directory. The image you've loaded has most likely kept your /var directory in tact.

Cheers Pat.

Re: TGS100 in booting loop

Thanks Pat,
Got the box going again..... In short i loaded the new U-boot, then update with factory image all via serial.

Took a few goes, but it finally stuck. Your dead right Pat, once up again, all my stuff in var was there to my surprise.
