Working Cams?

Hi,

I am right now testing an itgate unit and i have some questions.

NOTE this question is ONLY about softcam support in ITGATE.

1. Newcamd is not working in 2.0.5 or DG Final or Juliet 2.0.5. I get the error message below in all of them with the newcamd which can be downloaded from the addon manager.

2. I have tried the combination Newcs+Mgcamd with a valid subscription card in the unit, but it still doesn't decode anything. I've tried to run Mgcamd in the console and it says it decodes but still it doesn't show any pictures on the tv (except can't decode). I also tried News+Evocamd but without any luck.

3. When i choose information about a encrypted channel it says which cryptostandards that is in used, but it says on all :

Supported Coding Systems :
xxxxh other/uknown.

Systems Used in Service :
-The right one-

Is the ITGate unit only possible to use with a "real" hardware CI cam ? or am i the only one having problem with all available softcams?

I gather u have had the box working ok but are only having problems when trying different images/emu’s?

I have tried a few emu’s and don’t have a problem getting them to work.
I do however have a problem with a couple of the non official images with looping and non official emu’s not working. This however largly possibly due to the box being relatively new and little available at present by way of addons and emu’s.
YOU cannot use a Dreambox emu or addon in its native state as it will NOT work.
Each addon and emu needs to be Image specific and this will come with time.

To date I have had most success with the Juliet Image and there is the odd “Non” official emu floating around the internet that works Great.

Now i got a cam working, so now the remaining question is how i get Subtitles to Work ? Gsub/Bullz crash as i wrote in another thread here on the site.

Not exactly, i use the same one on DM7000 and tgs100 and its work good.
May be some plugin need to be recompiled with the right cdk, but emu works good.

Nice... the 1 cam is now working so i am happy, now i just need to figure out a way to get subtitles. =)

I have failed on all versions tested. The only one working so far is CCcam

To get subtitles you need to use text function on page 889. There is no direct function implemented until now but it is foreseen. The page may be different than 889 on your area, so please do check this.

mgcamd is quite "old" and now evocamd works better for the European coding system. But please note that any emu working on dreambox will work also on TGS-100. It is Enigma dependent, not hardware dependent. Mounting it is strictly the same (rep. and files) as what is done for dreambox.
