Re: Working Cams?

I've noticed that, but so far i've not manged to get newcamd or mgcamd or evocamd to work in the box (they start but generate odd error messages) with the exactly same config in dm7020 the cams work. So i believe it is something additional which needs to be done to make the cams work.

Have you managed to get newcamd/mgcamd working in any of the Official or non-official images for itgate ? if you have please tell me which version i should download so i could give it a try.

As for Subtitles i think bullz_text and gsub would be cool if they got recompiled for itgate.

Re: Working Cams?

I now have both CCcam and Evocamd running on the ITgate unit. It seams like u need to find a specific version that works on itgate for Evocamd.

However, now i only have Subtitles to sort out and i'll give it a try with Gsub tonight

Arrow Re: Working Cams?

There are no problems for using most CAMs on TGS100. I have successfully tested the following :

=> evocamd 2.11 + newcs
=> mgcamd + newcs
=> xcamd
=> gbox

Newcamd can not be used because of some devices it try to access that do not exists on tgs100.

Most images, like Juliet or DSTeam, propose download centers that provide fully functionnal CAMs packages with auto installation process. You can also find "install.tar" files that you only have to upload to /var/etc and reboot the demo to get them automatically installed. A lot are available around different boards / sites, for instance with evocamd or gbox.

For my tests, I directly used softcams downloaded from www.dreamboxworld.com without any problem (excluding newcamd, that start but can not work, as explained before).

Re: Working Cams?

Well, mgcamd can be installed nearly the same way you do for evocamd...you just have to change some minor things like config file (mg_cfg). I used mgcamd some time ago, but no more use it as evocamd seems to be more reliable / stable.

@mods : is it possible to provide here and install pack for these emus ?
