5410z Broken-lights flashing

as the topic says, I went to watch some tv and saw that the box had turned it self off, turned it back on at the rear (it seemed to have half flicked itself off or something) when it was set to on nothing happened, I noticed that if I kept it off for a few mins then turned it back on it would flash (the two green leds and the one red led on the front) a few times, I then left it off all night and now when I turn it on it just sits there flashing away, once its flashing if I turn it off (at the rear again) the flashing will slowly die off.

I've searched the net looking for any fix's or details on this and can't find a thing, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Post Power Supply

Your problem is more than likely a faulty power supply. The smoothing capacitors have a tendancy to short when the power supply gets hot.

Find a mate, or take it to a competent repair centre who are competent in repairing electronic power supplies and have them replace the electrolytic capacitors.

Once repaired get a small computer fan (12 volt) and arrange it outside the case above the power supply board. Power it from the 12V out on the back of the hummie if you have no other use for the power.

You can get a new power supply from this site which is in wa, it is a matter of unplugging the old one and plugging the new one
