How much is a 5410 worth now and later?

Just a few simply question:

How much is my 5410 worth on the 2nd hand market (eg ebay or here) today if I were to sell it?

How much will my 5410 be worth once the V4 rollout occurs?

Will my 5410 be any use to me when my V4 sub card and new box turn up early next year?

Thanks

Not sure about prices but it may be useful if you look into card sharing with a interface.

It's worth what ever someone is prepared to pay
As far as I'm aware the 5410 is compatable with V4 - it's the card thats the problem - but will it be a problem for long? I doubt it, so either get the price you want for it or hold on to it. The future is much brighter than the providers would lead you to believe.
Also there are a lot of other birds out there to play with.

Rapid,

Thanks for the info...... I dont really want to sell it but couldnt find out much about its future use with V4 sub cards.

I heard ithe 5410 had to be allcam patched or something like that for the newer sub cards???

I will just wait and see I suppose and hope some others can enlighten me further.

Regards

W

Well m8 there are several other satellites out there on Ku band and many many more on c-band with FTA channels which the huey can be used for.

The huey dosnt require +cam for use on ANY flavour of irdeto 1,2,3 or whatever they bring out next.

If all your after is dodgy foxtel then you should sell you box.

Dont jump on the band wagon to quick Mr "I know everything" Hughmax..

I use my 5410 as a 2nd box with a card that is of copy of my pre V4 sub card that a friend made for me.

I just want to know if the new V4 card will work in them so I could decide to sell now or keep it and just swap cards as required.

And I suppose you pay you $70+/mth for full acccess.....I reckon not ......... piracy is piracy whether you take some service and open it up (yes you) or you take all of the service for free.

Those who I see posting comments like yours accusing others are just as guilty as all the other who take it for free.

I find some of this site's members (yes you) very hypocritical.

But back to your FTA TV mate I am sure I have got you all wrong.

-Dude i wasnt jumping down your throat - just answering your questions

-Your original Questions were

"i dont really want to sell it but couldnt find out much about its future use with V4 sub cards."

-If youve got a sub card or freind has a v4 and a 5410Z- try it in the box and find out for youself! Your concern is obvioulsly C1 services!I just mentioned other alterniatives to using your box than for paytv.

"I heard ithe 5410 had to be allcam patched or something like that for the newer sub cards???"

-The huey dosnt require +cam for use on ANY flavour of irdeto 1,2,3 or whatever they bring out next.

"I will just wait and see I suppose and hope some others can enlighten me further."

-Do you feel enlightened? your questions were answered

-BTW - i DO pay for a foxtel sub and ppvs and i also pay for 2 other C-Band paytv services
not everyone watches pirate services!
