pin not working

can not get the pin code to work on my humax IRCI-5400z

To reach a 'manufacturer' hidden menu, in the STB Status menu, press

[red] [green][yellow] [blue] [white] then select one of the following options

0 - Reset pin Number
1 - Loader Download
2 - Application download
3 - Eeprom data download
4 - Channel data download

A dialog box confirming the selected option should now appear.

I have reset my pin, but when I put a lock on the adult channel the pin dialog box comes up and then the picture appears.

Thats exactly how it is supposed to work - the lock on Adult channel is so you have to enter the pin to access it - sto top the kids viewing etc.
Try removing the lock and see if your pin works when you go into the Menu\Installation\Search \ Manual Search - you should have pin number 0000 ( all zeros ) means it has been reset by the instructions in the previous post. enjoy it a bit longer !

What I was trying to say is that when I lock the channel and then select it the pin code dialog box appears and without me entering any pin or doing anything else the picture appears.

I think that means the Parental control level is set at lowest - you will have to check, as I am away from the sat box as I write this - off the top of my head. - Regards from Skye

I have a HUmax IRCI-5400 and am having the same problem. I tried what was suggested but it is not working. Is it the same process for a IRCI-5400 as for a IRCI-5400z?? If not, can you help get to this menu so I can reset the pin.

if the procdure above dosn't work for you try hooking up to the box with humbox 4.1 and a r232 cable that way you can see what the pin is and change it if required
