Cool Elvis not working properly

Hi to all Elvis uses out there?

If your Elvis has been giving you trouble, like it has for me a couple of days ago, meaning the red light goes on and than off when you try to turn it on:

Believe it or not, this may seem stupid, Take a look at your battery, with mine it was running non stop for about 3 weeks and than it had no power left in it to program the goldie or what ever you are programing.

From what the battery cost at the supermarket I think in the end it would be cheaper to buy a power pack/cord to use instead.

This is what I believe the problem was with mine and after a new battery it all worked again "sweat".

If anyone else has come across this please tell me, the more we all can get to know the better we all will be at it.

"JUST REMEMBER CHECK THE VOLTS IN YOUR BATTERY"

cheers

Elvis not working properly

I think I may have a wrong word in the thread?

The word "sweat" has been mistaken by some. What I meant to say was "Sweet" not "sweat".

In other words make sure you have enough battery power and elvis will work, you now "sweet" it Elvis works.

my memory is not as good as it should be, but here goes ...

i seem to recall that elvis powers up when you first start your computer.

the first way of fixing this is to run multiprogram with it configured to turn the power off each time it is run. even if it wasn't configured this way you could simply run multiprogram, click the MP Set tab and turn the power off.

the other is to install elviscc. this is a control centre for elvis that runs from your start directory and turns elvis off once windows is running.

not sure if elviscc is compatible with all versions of windows. i'm running ME and i find that using elviscc to change back from phoenix mode doesn't work. it does, however, turn the power off after ME starts.

there's no point in leaving the battery in all the time.

you will find ElvisCC in the files section.

M8,

just noticed that this thread should not have been posted in this forum or your previous one about cards.

programmers and wafer forums are the appropriate places.

we aim to please but your aim will help!
