Setting UEC 660/720 to lower than 15000 symbol rate

Hi All,

The South African Multichoice software on the 660 and 720 prevents use of symbol rates under 15000, however the 720 definatley support rate down to 5000 and the 660 might. According to UEC they have trimed the rate due to operator request and this may be so elsewhere too.

To get around this, set all your option in the network menu.
Set symbol rate to 99999
Disable the network.
Accept the setup (OK)
The decoder displays an error, accept the error.
press a digit key on the remote (I use 2)
press OK
type in the new value between 5000 and 15000
press OK
enable the network
accept the option.

Vaoilla... you have rates down to 5000

Are theses limits on any aussie units?
