Help with @ust@r ADB box

My ADB box had been working well for a few weeks until a "i" appeared in the top left corner. After I pressed OK it download someting and it seamed OK.

After I powered it off (to move it) an powered it on it done a channel scan and now I can't get any picture or the menu function shows blanks in all boxes. The card is OK as it works in my humax.....

Does anyone know where I can get manuals or any other info on this?

Might have been last weeks coco change if it still works in Humax

sounds like you have the same trouble as me,its called the box has been zeroed?.ive tryed every thing.firmware update,chipping,putting in sub card,its got me stuffed.let me know if you get it going and what you had to do? 8O

At the moment I'm looking at throwing the ADB box and getting another humax 5410z this time.....

Pity about that but looks like A@ust@r got us that time.....

I was an old box from a friend who stop the subscription and move house a few time...Never gave back the box so they must have a way of zapping those type of boxes maybe????

Anyone have any ideas on this?

try and see if you can get a installers manual from around here.use to have one here somewhere let me know if you find one please.

I have zero info on ADB and their web site is crap!!

mate ive searched high and low,they used to post the installers manual on the austar web site now for some strange reason they have taken it down.dont have much time at present ,you just have to search and search and search,good luck 8O
try this:
go to your blackbox
:go into menu
:go into settings
:click on upgrade
:click on ok
might work if you upgrade the boxes software:
:also try this:
put in a real sub card
pull the power
wait 5 minutes
put power back on
wait for it to go on and locate channels
if it goes on replace with your card

That worked for about 1 min then I lost the picture again.

The menu then came up some weird language.

Guess the box is stuffed.....

Satworld has 5410z on secial for $499...
I'll think me's gonna get one.....

Thanks anyway....if anyone has a solution would still be keen to know...

the strang lang was most probly chinese as austar have a warning about the factory setting being chinese, if you have a sub and the box is ok you could ring aus and tell them you the kids got to it they might send a firmware update to it . how knows , only a suggestion
