F0XTEL Box - E38 UNKNOWN SERVICE

Hey, I tried putting my special gold card into a standard f-tel UEC box and disabled the home frequency (1) and enabled the second frequency. (i heard this stops the operator controlling the card). After doing that i insert the gold card and choose to rescan the channels, it rescans showing 140 services etc, except it wont show any of the channels,it might have TV1 on for a few seconds but then it just sez E38 UNKNOWN SERVICE on every channel.

The card works fine in a humax box, but I need it to work in the UEC 660...

Can anyone help me please!

I might just add that I am using the default freq (same as the home freq) should i key in a new freq? I have tried a few from the lyngsat chart and it finds the services every time, it just brings up the error everytime though.

My main question from this is; does the UEC need to downlaod the new codes? because the card works straight away in the humax box sitting next to it.

Try changing the Coco's on the card to something unused eg. 123

If your card is updating in the humax then the majority of your details are correct..... It is updating the new PKs in the humax so a direct pull out of it, into the UEC should instantly show pics if CoCo is correct.....

As nokia said, check to see what it is and change accordingly. (BTW don't post your current coco for us to check.....

)

yeah i just sorted out the coco, everything works on this box now, even vertical signals(we turned the lnb) only problem is i cant get mtv, everything but mtv...
Im really starting to hate this box aswell...
