Unhappy ADB Box locked

I have read a few threds on the subject with no fixes.
2 ADB decoders exibit the same sympton, they used to work fine and then one day one stopped then they both stopped working. they wite a message on the screen that says wrong code. It appears as if they received a signal off air to turn off. Is this possible, and if so is there a way around it.

Are you running sub-cards in them or goldies?

If it is a goldie in each, is it your own codes?

If it is a sub-card then you could contact your provider.

You could also try a reset.

Hopefully you can give a little more info.

No Goldies, Running EMU

running EMU, not goldies, but same same, These codes work fine on another ADB. Like i said they worked fine for some time then just stopped. To me it looks like someone wrote some secret squirel thing to them to tell not to work anymore.

If you running emu through a season interface II is there anything in your logs to determine what was sent?

Does your subcard work in the boxes?

I have seen the same problem - on further inspection - I have observed that the firmware - has been reset to a date in 1970 -
and cannot be changed to the present date - I am guessing that this is why the ADB boxes are not working - if there is some way of changing the firmware back to the current date - I assume that this would fix the problem...
If anyone here knows how to do this please let the rest of us know.
TIA
