Which stb is most practical

Hello to all u guys!.
I'd like to know which box is most practical for use in Australia. Currently i'm using a humax (irci5400z) stb. Been thinking of upgrading to either a dreambox, dbox or a relook. Anybody got any suggestions?
Cheers!!.

I'm quite impressed with the mutant 200s - much the same features as a dreambox dm500s once the sf team enigma image is loaded, in addition it runs cooler than the dreambox and has a RF modulator, front panel controls and a display.

I'm more than happy with my DM7000 for the past 3 years, and it just keeps getting better and better as more complex images are made available.

It's never failed, holds all my music, photos, and recorded movies etc... The thing rocks.

I'd prolly look at an IT Gate if i didn't want a DM7025.

IMO whichever of these new boxes can play Divx has my vote!!! That would make it a great media machine

True, a Dreambox or one of the other Linux boxes eg Relook/Mutant/Itgate can be a nightmare, or a challenge depending on how you look at it - but can also be very rewarding as these are very powerful and feature packed units. If on the other hand all you want to do is stick a selectv or aurora card in a box and watch tv, the go for the cheapest iredeto embedded unit you can find.

You know i used to always think that, but with a little time and patience,it is a very easy unit to operate, plus the support out around forums is enormous, its really a matter of reading/learning and playing, and believe me when you achieve something and get it to work its very rewarding
