A friend of mine baught a "Amstrad STU-200" box with smartcard access to it from ebay thinking it will work for satellite but not as such only cable, can anyone give any tips on how to make use of it and can it be modified for sat-tv etc.
No these boxes are for strickly for cable only,cannot be use for Sat Tv
Different frequency,Cable have lower frequency compare to Sat Tv.
and different encryption,cable uses NDS system
