motorising a dm500s using a motek sg2100 & vbox II
Hi Folks,
After upgrading from a fixed dish setup (hotbird 13 deg) to a motorised set up, I am experiencing some problems.
System:
DM500S + Triax 88 cm dish + universal LNB + Motek Vbox II and Motek SG2100.
Current situation:
I have set up the dish according to the instruction supplied by the manufacturers. The dish alignment has been set according to my location (supplied via streetmap u.k.)
The dish moves with instruction from the Dreambox, but I'm not convinced to the correct locations i.e. there doesn't appear to be a great deal of difference between Astra - 19 degrees east and Hispasat 30 degrees west and when I scan for transponders, non are located (on any satellite).
The motor is obvously getting a feed but I don't know how to establish if the the LNB is getting power or malfunctioning (it was working yesterday on the fixed dish set up)
Another problem is the ERR2 message wich comes up on the Vbox II when manually moving west; which probably incorrectly set east/west limits.
The problem appears to be in the settings and I have the same results connecting the reciever direct to the motor - taking Vbox II out of the equation.
Question: Is there an easy-to-follow set of instruction available for download or has anyone had a similar experience with this set ip who can advise?
Hope someone can help.
Cheers
