Samsung DSR9500 Via CI

I have a samsung DSR9500 Via CI Sat reciever. i would like to know if i can up date the software thro PC, and if possible to programme the smart card in the reciever. What are the requirements i.e.the required software and cables(any 9pin serial cable would do?).

the sammy needs a serial cable 2 update software.
if you put a emu on you need a fun,gold silver card programmed with conax file but no keys in the file 2 get the emu working ok.
Do a search 4 papagen,all you need is on his site.

Thanks for your advice, i did go to the site and downloaded the files. But can you explain in detail "programmed with Conax but no keys". I am still learning ther game from many tutorials on papagen site, so consider me a novice.Do i have to get a blank Fun card and insert it?

Sorry m8 i`ve had comp problems so not been around
Right the sammy needs a conax based card 4 the emu 2 work so that means programming a card with a conax file which has no keys in it.
if you check papagens site you will find files 4 blank cards,gold, silver,fun etc.You need 2 program a card with 1 of these files so thats a fun conax file 4 a fun card & so on.(i`ve not used these 4 a long time as i have a dreambox but from memory you program the flash on the card with the file)
The files you need are in a section called EMU CARD FILES,just download the file you need 4 the card you have.

Hi Cripple,
Nice to hear from you again.
1.Do i need to buy a card writer to program a Blank card Or can i do it with my Sammy?
2.Do i have to use a Blank card Or is it possible to Erase an Existing Gold Card(i suppose it is ViaAccess) and Re-program it with those conax file.

yes you need a programmer like a elvis,infinity, dynamite etc.
you can use a card that has been used before no problem.
